Mr. Jimmy Choy
Founder & Principal Instructor
As a chartered engineer in Australia, he holds a B.E.(Hor) (University of New South Wales) and a L.L.B. (UNSW). Jimmy was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia. He has also completed a Dipolma of Legal Studies (U.T.S) and a Dipolma of Education (University of Technology Sydney). He was the Senior lecturer & the course leader in Mechanical Engineering at the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council as well as the lecturer at T.A.F.E., Australia and the Hong Kong Institute of Technology.
Dr. K. S. Fung
Academic Director
Dr. KS Fung has a PHD from the Imperial College London Institution and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the College of Science at the National Tsing Hua University. He was the lecturer at the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council. He is presently a Senior Research Fellow of the Hong Kong University, a senior member of The Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and The Hong Kong Institutions of Engineers as well as a long-term member and the Hon. Secretary of The Hong Kong Institute of Marine Technology. As a chartered engineer in Hong Kong, Dr. KS Fung is also a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), the Hong Kong Institute of Acoustics (HKIOA) and The Royal Aeronautical Society.
Mr. Yam
Senior Instructor
Mr. Yam is a qualified professional engineer. He is a member of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and The Hong Kong Institutions of Engineers. He was the lecturer at Hong Kong Vocational Training Council. He owns rich experiences in the role of teaching.
Brendan Choy
Head of Game Design
Brendan graduated with a Bachelor of Information Technology, specializing in Game Development, from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.
As one of the first students at Brainchild, he possesses extensive knowledge of various game engines, including Scratch, Game Salad, and Unity (C#). Additionally, Brendan has valuable contracting experience in graphic design, working with 3D modeling software such as Blender and Substance Painter to create immersive game environments.
Our growing team includes tutors with distinguished academic backgrounds, many of whom are graduates of top-tier universities.

3D Printing
Our workshop features multiple Bambu Lab 3D printers, giving students streamlined experience with the entire process—from creating a 2D design to bringing it to life through 3D printing.
All The Tools You Need
Outside of our diverse syllabus, we encourage students to design and executive their own projects. We offer over 300 mechanical tools and several work stations for students to exercise their creativity and hands-on ability, including soldering and hot glue gun station!
Safety First
Designed as a professional workshop, students will learn to operate technical tools from soldering irons to chainsaws. Safety is our priority, and we require everyone to wear protective gear before getting their hands dirty.
